Children’s Corner was the result of a children project running over a long period in 1999 and 2000 Fremtidsporten (Gate to the Future). All music in this piece has been created by 70 children from many Copenhagen schools – however, they did not piece it together, structure it and orchestrate it!
Since it was, in fact, quite entertaining, it was performed (in an abbreviated version) at a family concert. The music also contained the children’s poems which – like their work with visual art and music – built on their expectations for the new millennium. These may also partly be omitted.
