About the work:

Tropics is silent and, at times, remote music.

You experience a layer, where recorder, violin, and cello have their own mutual world, and another layer, where the harpsichord starts to live its own life.

At a certain time, the two worlds meet in a kind of zenit –  the tension in the music is extinguished – and music folds back again.

The title of the piece is due to the fact that the music is a development of the piece The Tropic of Cancer (Krebsens vendekreds).

Reviews:

(High Fidelity)
