Lord Salisbury Pavane & Gaillarde was written for an occasion when Euterpe Ensemble wanted to play both old dances from the 17th century in an original and a modern version.
In this case, Orlando Gibbons became the one to suffer!
The piece may well be played independantly of these conditions.
